Great Winter Garden Neighborhoods on the Lakes

Lake Apopka Sound

Lake Apopka Sound is a collection of new construction homes built by national homebuilder D.R. Horton on the shore of Lake Apopka. The neighborhood offers sizable homes ranging from just over 2,000 square feet to just over 3,300 square feet. 

The neighborhood is in a great location within walking distance of the West Orange Trail and just about five minutes from the charmingly historic downtown center of Winter Garden. 

Sunset Lakes

Sunset Lakes is a luxury neighborhood of single-family homes tucked between Lake Roper and Lake Luntz with a few small lakes located just inside the boundaries. Properties are on large lots offering a very quiet and very private atmosphere. 

Johns Lake

Johns Lake is one of the many lakes in Winter Garden with small communities centered around it. The lake is situated between Winter Garden and Clermont making it highly ideal to live on the shores. The lake has several peninsulas and small islands. The lake is over 2,000 acres providing for many great lake home communities and living opportunities. Some of the most desirable housing communities in this area include John's Landing and the Johns Lake Pointe neighborhood. 

Summerlake

Is a small enclave of large luxury lake homes located in the larger master planned community of Horizon West. Horizon West is actually an unincorporated "town" on the outskirts of Winter Garden and Windermere. The addresses all fall within Winter Garden or Windermere so most people who live in Horizon West associate that they live in a community of Winter Garden rather than a separate town. 

Summerlake offers the optimal lake living nestled between Lake Hannock, Ski Lake, and Saw Grass Lake. The community is like living in an old Florida resort. There is a nice mix of home styles in Summerlake with three builders having their hand in the construction. Home sizes range from 1,395 square feet to 4,377 square feet. 

In addition to living near three lakes, the community offers wide sidewalks, children's play areas, a clubhouse, a fitness center, and a resort-style swimming pool. 

Isles of Lake Hancock

Isles of Lake Hancock is one of the many lake communities around the shores of Lake Hancock. The neighborhood features large homes and the security of a gated entrance. Residents benefit from the use of a community boat ramp to get out and enjoy Lake Hancock as often as they wish.
